Ready Aim Fire

Step up and experience what it would have been like to be a 78th Highlander in 1869! Under the supervision of a non-commissioned officer in the recreated 78th Highland Regiment of Foot, learn how to load and fire blank rounds from an authentic Snider-Enfield rifle, the primary weapon of the British army infantry soldier in the late 1860s.

Age Requirements

Participants must be at least 18 years old to participate in this experience, or at least 16 years old if a parent or guardian is present. Please note that a government-issued photo ID may be required if requested.

Tickets

Tickets may be purchased upon arrival at an admissions kiosk or at the Information Centre inside the Citadel (pre-booking is not required).  Please check back soon for pricing for the 2025 season!

Additional Information

Participants will be provided with an authentic reproduction British army doublet, earplugs, and eye protection. Participants are also required to sign a waiver in order to take part in the program.
